Starboard Ocean Ambassador Stefano Bellomo, interviews Starboard’s very own Svein Rasmussen. As part of the Adventure Biologist’s blog project to interview some of the most inspiring people for the oceans. Each week Stefano is reaching out to fellow Starboard Ocean Ambassadors. Stefano’s aims to inspire others and reconnect humans to the sea. Starboard loves being on the sea, lakes and rivers and tackles many challenges our beautiful nature is having to face. Stefano is such an active citizen of the ocean, as he is on the water every day to monitoring cetaceans. He understands how fragile our oceans are. With further understanding of how our work directly correlates with enjoying nature and limiting our impact as much as possible.

Stefano: In 1994 you founded Starboard and in the last two decades it’s the premium brand in windsurfing and paddleboarding. What makes you will to do better and better?
Svein: I guess we are in this game to give it our best effort year after year and one day pass the torch to those who can bring our little movement a little further, it’s all about getting people into the water so they understand better the importance of protecting it.
