This year Starboard Team Rider Maddi Leblanc won SUP Woman Of The Year! Moreover, this week she shared an interview with YourTV Niagara to speak about her receiving the award.
Maddi’s strong passion for the environment is shown through her energy as the SUP Kids Community Manager. Furthermore, she uses this energy and puts it into empowering the next generation. For example, Maddi is often teaching kids how to paddle, teaching them how to take care of their environment and become stewards at the same time. Additionally, the SUP Woman Of The Year’s University research focused on the activity of stand-up paddle boarding and how it could drive participants to become stewards of the environment.
