Meet the team leader of our second Plastic Offset Program in Thailand, Kate Amara Witchithong. We choose team leaders with deep care for the environment.
Amara has more than 200 windsurf world championship titles, between the age of 17 and 55. Since Amara moved to Pattaya when she was 13, the sea has been her home, and the fish her friends. Throughout her career, she has experienced the transformation from thousands of fish surrounding her board a couple of decades ago, to now having to rig and windsurf among plastic and dead sea turtles.
Today she is 58 years old and runs Starboard’s second Plastic Offset Program with her Watersport Centre in Pattaya as the base. Here, Amara runs education camps, teaching youth a sustainable lifestyle and mindset. We choose POP team leaders that care about the environment!
