In the 2023 carbon footprint report, SOMWR continues its commitment to creating a future of freedom that is worth living, with a full disclosure of the company’s environmental impact.
Last year, the need to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases entering the atmosphere and mitigate the consequences of climate change became more clear than ever. As such, companies globally should strive to lessen their carbon footprint and be honest to their customers when communicating their efforts.
The SOMWR 2023 Carbon footprint report aims to be fully transparent about the CO2e emissions associated with the production, employee travel and energy used by the brand in the last year. It is an opportunity be open about its role as an industry polluter as well as share how the SOMWR is taking responsibility for mitigating its environmental impact.
Using Carbon Footprint ™ verified methodologies, production and business footprints were calculated. From these amounts, more than 10,000 mangrove trees were then planted to offset the company’s emissions ten times over. In this way, SOMWR remains dedicated to the 10X climate positive movement, acknowledging that neutrality is no longer enough.
Alongside fighting climate change, SOMWR also takes action to preserve the environment. For every garment sold, not only is one mangrove planted, but 1.4 kilos of shoreline plastic is collected too. As a result, every SOMWR customer creates a positive impact.
In 2023, SOMWR has again shown that taking effective action to ensure a climate positive future is possible. To find out more about how we do it and help others do the same, read the report below.
Finally, though the report admits that we may be wrong, we make sure to account for these potential errors in our calculations. However, we are always open to feedback so please send us your thoughts via eco@star-board.com.
