Starboard is excited to announce the launch of our newest POP chapter in beautiful Krabi, southern Thailand.
For the past 4 years, Starboard’s Plastic Offset Program (POP) Team has been doing an incredible job of collecting beach and ocean waste from the Chonburi area. In 2021 we launched our second chapter with Amara Watersports in Jomtien, southeast Thailand. We are now excited to announce the launch of our newest POP chapter in Krabi with the support of Krabi Spesialisten and Coralyfe.
POP Krabi completed their first clean-up in Aonang beach on 20th August 2022, collecting a total of 83 kilograms of plastic waste from 6 team members.
Each year, Starboards POP targets increase in line with how many boards we produce that year. Per board produced, we promise to reclaim 1.1 KG of plastic. The POP Krabi Chapter will help contribute to Starboard’s POP 2022 target of 150,000 kg of plastic waste collected.
