Starboard leads the watersports industry with their designs, but with Starboard Blue, they also take a leading approach to environmental impact.
For every board made, Starboard plants 3 mangroves and collects 1.4 kg of beach plastic.
Measurement and reporting
Starboard has been measuring and reporting their carbon footprint since 2017. Every year, they strive to improve on their calculation methodologies and extend the boundaries of the measurements, to produce an increasingly accurate representation of their impact on the climate.
Action Taken
Starboard is continually researching and discovering ways of decreasing the impact of their products. At the same time, their HQ utilises sustainable solutions to further reduce their carbon footprint. However, in their mission to be both the best in the world and for the world Starboard takes action to turn their negative impact into a positive one.
