The International Canoe Federation represents all national canoe organizations worldwide, and in 2021, they announced Starboard Blue as their environmental action partners.
Together, they direct the events for all ICF disciplines to a more environmentally positive pathway.
Measurement and reporting
Since 2021, Starboard Blue has helped the ICF to report on the environmental impact of each of their major World Cup and World Championship events. In 2023, this included 21 events across 8 different disciplines. The comprehensive reports account for the travel emissions for all accredited people attending, including athletes, coaches and International Technical Officials.

As of 2023, the ICF has planted a total of 162,341 VCS certified mangroves with Starboard Blue. Over the next 25 years, these mangroves will either neutralise the travel emissions from measured events, or offset them 10 times over.
