Ocean Ambassador Sian Sykes has been non-stop on her plastic-free mission. Her determination to combat the issue of plastic waste in Wales, UK.

In 2019, Anglesey was awarded plastic-free status thanks to Sian working with all energy and efforts hard with Save Our Rivers and Surfers Against Sewage to get the town up to the status level! Additionally, to meet this level all businesses have to remove the use off; single-use plastic water bottles, plastic cutlery, straws, sauce sachets. Subsequently, they encourage people to use their re-uses and to join in with litter picks.

Since then, Sian Sykes has been dedicating her time to share her plastic-free knowledge with those in her local community. Most importantly, the talks and clean up actions are focusing on helping businesses in the area of Angelsey to become plastic-free. Furthermore, by removing plastic from the daily life of all those in the area. Therefore, helping the locals to make the right choices when it comes to purchasing no plastic!

However, Sian’s plastic- free actions do not stop at the local level!
